I have had a horrible time with my teeth and am at a loss at what to do. When I was twelve I had a ton of severe cavities removed and the dentist had to sand down 2/3 of my front 12 teeth. When he rebuilt them, he used a gross yellow color and I am stuck with disgusting teeth. Recently one of them broke and another 3 have chips or cracks in it. I'm a mentally afraid to smile because they look so disgusting. I have no idea how to handle this, I don't have too much money, I do have insurance but I'm not sure what it can pay for. I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years because I didn't have insurance. I know I need a new cavity taken care of and a cleaning, but what are my options on getting a pretty white smile?
Advice on how to fix my teeth?
You need to have the Dentist yank 'em all out and get fitted for dentures. That's a yucky mouth, the way it is at the present. Did you ever learn to brush your teeth?
Reply:omg.
go to the dentist and just ask for help about the cost and stuff.
oh yeah and buy Crest White Strips Premium or something.
and then brush your teeth 3 times a day, floss twice a day, and do mouthwash twice a day (in the morning and night)
and then yeahh.
Reply:Try brushing your teeth 3 times a day.
Reply:Play hockey
Reply:Honestly, get all your teeth removed and buy pearly white dentures.
Reply:you said you do have insurance so it should take care of basic teeth care. There are white strips from like crest and stuff. I recommend you ask on of your parents if your insurance covers dental. Or ask the lead supporter to have a heart attack, then you should be covered for everything.
Reply:Yikes... Uhh like...You should probably...try the best to get your teeth fixed up..even though its very expensive... and use whitening strips.. so you have white teeth.
Reply:I think what you're talking about is bonding, and the reason why it has chipped and turned yellow is because bonding is only temporary, I have the same problem. I plan to get porcelain veneers soon though, but the dentist can probably try to rewhiten your bonding for you. Don't use the whitening strips because it eats away at the bonding and doesn't work for bonded teeth.
Reply:try porcelen(sorry cant spell) vinears. insurance probably pays for a percent of that and ALWAYS from now on have a yearly checkup and cleaning. brush good so you dont get more cavities and you could try whitening tooth paste but idk if the will do anything for your yallow colored things. but i hope i helped.
Reply:OMG!! i have the same problem as you!! when i was little i had 16 cavaties!! and i have two white spots on my two front teeth!! and i don't know hoow to get ride of it!! but maybe you can try a teeth whitener...thats what i might try...and make sure you brush every day 2 times!!
Good Luck!!
Reply:go to a club, find the biggest meanest drunk girl you can find and make her so mad that she kicks your teeth out. file a police report, go to court for assault and with the winnings have the dentist pull all your teeth and put in somefalse teeth. from what i hear they are easier to manage anyway, so it's a win-win (with the exception of getting your teeth kicked out).
good luck
Reply:well....there is no easy way. My teeth are perfect right now cuz of braces, surgery, whitning strips, and retainers. I had all kinds of stuff happen to me...like 3 of my (adult) teeth were knocked right out and yellow color to them but now there gorgeuos! i love them! so dose alot of people! its gunna coast money. no way to not. the easyest way for color is brushing a lot! but it takes a while. so if you want perfect save up for braces, whitning strips,a nd retainer.
braces: $5,000
Retainer:$250 each
whitening strips: $ 5 bucks
lol
but thats the way for a PURFECT smile. im happy with mine...you should try!
Reply:first get out your booklets and find out what your insurance will and wont cover. Second look for a dental school in your area. Third ask your boss to back you up in relating your progress in careers with the discoloration of you original dental work. Be ready to tell him of the whiter product you have tried that didn't work on the material your original dentist put in. last is your original dentist still in the area? if so go talk to him and show him what he left you with. perhaps he will shame himself into fixing the problem rather than having you out there telling your friends what he did to you.
Reply:Have them all pulled out, its easy just having dentures.........you can then smile at eveyone without any problems.
