Piece of teeth fell off exposing filling. Dental crown only option?

Decent sized chunk of teeth fell out. about two thirds of the front . Haven't been to a dentist in a while but will look for one that works Saturday. I know this a far shot, but is it possible to glue the broken piece back on? Any advice guys?

There are a few corporate dental offices that work on saturday. Immediadent I know is open 7 days a week. Sears dental I believe is open as well. 2/3's of your tooth is missing, in my experience, that amount of tooth structure lost, you will need a crown. It is funny that you said that about glueing your tooth back on. I would not do that. It wont bring your tooth back into function, and it will be a pain in the butt for the dentist who works on your tooth to fix it, a.k.a. more time for you in the dental chair. Hope this helps:)
Reply:depends on how big. you could just get a porcelain filling if a crown isn't needed (they are white)
Reply:Might be able to get the dentist to fill in the gaps... glueing it on is prob not goign to work. I am so envious you're not in pain... I never have that luck... hee hee. Good luck to you.
Reply:Yes it is but it will be difficult to find a dentist that will do that, or maybe it just wouldn't work with your tooth. The process uses some kind of blue light heat treatment with glue and porcelain. I had it done to one of my teeth once, but it didn't take and I ended up getting a crown anyway. A crown is your best bet since the filling is exposed. The dentist would not only have to glue the piece of tooth on but would also have to do drilling and filling. This doesn't sound practical with a tooth that already has filling in it.
