I was playing with my puppy, trying to get her to "speak". She was jumping all around and finally spoke. While she was acting crazy, she tried to bite my hand and got her mouth caught on my wedding band. Her fang tooth broke, almost in half. I guess she ate it. She just shook her head funny then continued playing. She's 16 weeks, so this is a baby tooth right? Is it ok to just wait til the adult tooth comes in? There is no blood and it's not broken up to the gumline, just like half gone.
Puppy broke tooth. Question.?
Puppy's lose all their baby teeth fairly quickly.
I just got my first puppy and didn't realize they lose their baby teeth just like a human child.
Her gums barley bleed and it did not faze her at all when a tooth broke.
They need lots of chew toys at this point so they don't start chewing on everything you don't want them to.
Her last visit to the vet concluded that she now has all her adult teeth.
Reply:it will grow back it's just a baby tooth she'll be getting her adult teeth soon enough.. She'll be fine. If she acts like she's in pain then you might wanna take her in but for the most part I wouldn't worry.
Reply:Hm, it was a baby tooth and she will lose it soon enough anyways so she should be fine. As long as she is not acting as if she is in pain, I would just keep playing with her and not worry about the vet.
Reply:Do not fret that is a baby tooth she will be getting her adult teeth later.
Reply:Dont worry puppy's teeth will eventually go lose anyways. And when she loses the other half the adult teeth will come in. It's all normal.
Reply:it will be ok
Reply:You need to watch for signs of infection. She is about to the age where she will lose it anyway so I wouldn't panic, but check it everyday and make sure there isn't anything abnormal like puss, red gums, etc. If you do see signs of infection or pain, then get her to the vet, but otherwise just wait for the new one to come in.
Reply:Baby tooth. As long as she doesn't seem to mind I wouldn't worry about it being too close to a nerve or anything. My puppy used to loose them in tug toys.
Reply:Even if it doesn't seem to be a big deal-it is. There might not be any blood or anything but if i were you i would take her to the veternairia n. If you dog doesnt have a vet than you should always make your dog drink some water!
Reply:it will be falling out soon.
