Phobia about Teeth Coming Out?

For years I've had dreams about clenching my teeth so hard that they break and fall apart in my mouth. I am guilty of teeth clenching in real life, so it's no surprise to me that it's carried over to my dreams.

However, for the past month, I've developed a terrifying fear that my teeth are going to be knocked out. At work, I constantly go through situations in my mind that something will hit me in my mouth causing my teeth to be knocked out. Is this a phobia and if so, which one? It's not debilitating yet, but it's extremely disturbing to me.

Reply:That's a repressed fear of growing old.
Reply:I've had dreams of losing my teeth since I was a child. My worst nightmare came true about 4 years ago when I was in an accident and my two front teeth were shattered. My husband was pulling shards out of my lip for hours.

It was interesting because it certainly seemed more traumatic than painful. I did a lot of thinking and figured out the reason I was so traumatized was some basic fear of losing my teeth. Our teeth are essential for life (at least until recently) and if we lose them or if they're severely damaged, we die.

I don't know the name of the phobia but yes, it's extremely disturbing. I can't even watch cartoons with characters who get their teeth smashed in.
