Yes. Some babies are even born with teeth, get ready for sore nipples, youch!
Reply:Yes it is. There have been cases where children have actually been born with teeth. Rare, but it does happen.

You can actually read about it in Guiness Book of World Records.
Reply:Oh so sorry...your kid is going to do a job on your nipples.
Reply:Oh yes. It is not that uncommon for babies to be born with teeth.
Reply:Yep, definitely not unheard of. I have a friend who's baby was born with several sticking through. Sometimes they will even recede and come back later. Nothing to worry about, unless you're nursing.... :)
Reply:it's not unheard of, occassionally babies are even born with a tooth! however, it is possible to see those bottom teeth long before they actually come through, I thought my daughter was going to teethe early too, but they didn't break the surface for 3 more months...
Reply:YES! I have heard of babies born with teeth.

Poor thing. Too young to hold a teething ring, too young to understand pain.
Reply:yes , some babies are even born with teeth. but somtimes it just seems like they are getting teeth but they aren't they are just doing what they call "working" them. hope this helps
Reply:Many babies already have some teeth when they are born. Just go see your chemist and get some bonjela or equivelent to rub on babies gums to relieve the pain. It does tend to make breast feeding a more interesting time as you never know just when baby is going to use those nice new teeth. I would maybe spend some time under a heat lamp to toughen your nipples if they are not already tough.
Reply:I had a friend who was born with a tooth. The weird thing was that this tooth was grayish in color while the others were white. I don't know what this means but those are the facts, jack.
Reply:Very possiable. Some babies, although rare, are born with teeth. Every baby is different, it is very early but it does happen. Your really luckly actually, you wont have to go through months of a teething =) COngrats on the new baby!
Reply:Hi, sounds like you already got several of the right answer, which is that some babies are even born with a tooth or two, and those 2 bottome teeth of your baby's may take a while to completely break through, anyways. Here's what I had to chime in on: don't freak out if your nursing! Keep nursing, if baby bites you give your honest reaction of OUCH! and pull baby off the breast. It should only have to happen a couple times before baby realizes that if he/she bites, no more nursing and usually that's all it takes to not bite. To be honest, a baby that little may not even try to bite b/c usually at that age they're very hungry when they start nursing and biting is the last thing on their minds. If baby is biting, he's not latched on properly which means he's not eating, he's just playing or bored and he doesn't need to be having a nursing session right then.
Reply:yes it's possible, but also may be what is called milk buds. where white bumps show up on the gum line where the teeth are going to come in. they can show up and go away for months. this is normal to see in a baby this age. really more normal than actual teeth coming in. but teeth are a possibility also. at your next dr. appt. just point it out to your dr. if they have not come in and see what they think. teeth can be funny, our daughter's top two teeth were right there at her 9 month and the dr said any day now and they just came in the day of her 1 year appt. they would start to come through and then go back up. good luck.
