What the different ways a tooth thats been broken be fixed?

If it is a molar and the cusp (or point) has been broken then the only solution is to build the tooth back up and crown or cap the tooth. You might be able to have filling material placed in the tooth but that is only a temporary solution as the tooth will break again and most likely worse than before. If there is no damage to the cusp, you can get away with just getting a filling. If it's a front tooth, depending on the size of the break, most likely a crown of veneer as a filling will never stay in. If it's just a small chip, they will most likely just smooth it down.

There's no other way then going to the dentist and have it fixed. It's going to cost a couple of hundreds but it's better then having a chipped tooth. Good luck!
