I have a broken and Abscessed Tooth?

I don't have health insurance and not enough money for a dentist. Will the tooth fall out and will the pain pass if I wait it out?

Reply:Yeah, call around and talk with some dental offices until you find one who will take you on an emergency basis and will let you make payments. An extraction shouldn't cost a horrible amount and they will probably want to put you on some oral antibiotics. Take care of you...this is important.
Reply:I had the same problem,, but luckily I had some old antibotics in the house, I took them and the swelling went down and quit hurting, but the pain will return, the only way to get rid of it is to have it removed. If you don't have antibotics, I suggest you go to the hospital. They will give you a script for antibotics, and maybe something for pain, but it will return at a later date, mine still has not bothered me again , it's been about 4 months since i had this problem. I went to a dentist and got a root canal. I had an abscess, so they drilled a hole in my tooth and I had to wait a week before they could fill it. Worth every penny. Get saving.
Reply:See if there is a clinic that does work for reduced fees. Ask any dentists or call a medical clinic that works with people who can't afford work to be done. Ask your dentist about loan companies that let you make small monthly payments. You can also pre pay at some offices. Give them so much money every month until you can go get the work. An Abcess will usually only calm down if you get antibiotics. It takes three days for it work. If you ignore the abcess totally- it will spread infecting more teeth. Antibiotics may buy you 6 months from pain and swelling or it may only last a few weeks.


Some dentists will work things out in a trade. If you garden, repair cars, clean houses, etc. just please see a medical or dental doctor for the prescription you need. You can become very very ill!
Reply:no, but if you let the infection go, it could possibly go into your brain and kill you. You could take your chances and see if the pain passes. You could pull the tooth and pray you get the roots and that the infection goes away. I guess that would be better than setting up a payment plan with a dentist office?
Reply:you should really see a dentist. The pain will die when the tooth dies. This is a long process and if you can stand it you a brave but crazy person
