How much does it cost to extract a wisdom tooth that has broken at the gumline?

I feel that a general anesthetic will be required, we have no dental insurance, and would also like info on the estimated recovery time expected. Any info from a qualified professional or someone who has had this work done will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My boyfriend just had one pulled that had to be broken into three pieces and was below the gum line, with local anesthetic, and it was about $140. Obviously if general anesthetic is required it will up the cost a bit.

He's still having some trouble with after 5 days, but that's because it got infected. Otherwise, people are generally feeling fine after about two days.
Reply:I had a wisdom tooth removed last week and it took about a week to heal. I didn't have insurance either, but I did get a dental discount plan that saved about 40%.

Don't go to a dentist without getting a discount!!!! This is the company I used, and its a hell of a deal compared to paying full price.
