My 7 yrs old kid has double tooth. New teeth is coming behind the milk tooth. What should i do.?

Visit the dentist and arrange him or her to pull out the milk tooth. You can't allow the teeth to continue growing, it will defnitely affect the growing of the other teeth, especially those that are near and around the new teeth. If there is a delay in the extraction of the milk tooth, your kid will feel immense pain from it. You must quickly make an arrangement with the dentist.

Get the child to a dentist - chances are milk teeth will come out to make room for the others anyhow.
Reply:Take the child to the dentist. The dentist can tell you what is the best thing to do. The milk tooth will need to be pulled out, but the dentist can tell you if you should have it done now or wait, and will be able to pull it out properly as well as advise you if straightening is needed.
Reply:the dentist will do xrays and may send your child to an oral surgeon... my son is 10 and still has his front baby tooth.. we had the xrays done and found out there was still another extra tooth in there besides the baby tooth.. he is due to have oral surgury in the next month...
Reply:Take your child to the dentist and then INSIST the teeth be pulled out. The dentist is probably going to tell you that the tooth/teeth will fall out and he doesn't want to pull it. Don't listen, insist it be pulled!





This happened to both my children. I explained to the dentist both times that both sides of the family had problems with tooth crowding and teeth being too large. He refused to pull the teeth. The dentists we seen (two) both said the teeth would fall out but they didn't. They kept growing and growing. Both my children now have seriously crooked teeth due to the dentists failure to pull those teeth. I learned my lesson the hard way. Be aggressive and tell the dentist you want the tooth/teeth pulled. I can't tell you how many other mom's have told me this happened to their children as well, the dentist refused to pull the teeth. Now they are spending thousands of dollars putting braces on their kids teeth.
Reply:If they arent loose now and ready to fall out, you need to have a dentist pull them out. Parents aren't dentists, let the dr.s do their jobs.
Reply:My rule of thumb is to let the permanent teeth come in "half the distance" to the biting edge of the lower front baby teeth before you worry about it. If they get beyond that height, it may be necessary to remove the baby teeth.
