If a Rabbit has a broken or missing tooth, would the tooth grow back?

If it's broken, yes. Rabbits have constantly growing teeth, which is why it's a necessity to have items for the rabbit to chew on.

no
Reply:No I don't think so.
Reply:yes it will
Reply:yup yup, the last time the vet cut Bobo's teeth (last week) it broke off right at the top bless him n he had 2 have an injection, but today when i was checking them it has come back in fine! and really all that was left when it was cut was a little piece and he was bleeding a little bless his fluffy cotton socks, i wudnt worry but try n keep a check incase he gets an abses where it comes back in
Reply:Best thing to do is take your rabbit to a vet. yes, their teeth are constantly growing, but rabbits are prone to get abscesses from injuries and you definitely don't want that.

Regarding onions - they are presumed to be toxic to rabbits so it is better to not feed them. If your friend's rabbit ate it and didn't get sick, I'd say your friend was lucky.

Reply:No! They just wear down when we nibble!
Reply:Ask a vet!!!!!
Reply:No they are on the NHS. Can you believe it?!!
Reply:Since rabbits teeth grow rapidly, the missing or broken tooth should go back very quickly. If the tooth does not grow back, you could go visit your vet and see what they say. Best of Luck :-)
Reply:yep they do grow back if broken
Reply:Yes it will. I would recommend that you go to a vet and get the other tooth trimmed however. Also when it grows back watch for overgrowth. If the rabbit is born missing that tooth however, don't expect it to grow in.
Reply:no, have it pulled out by a vet
Reply:Their 4 front teeth grow constantly. Rabbits tend to keep them at a managable length by eating hay and chewing on things like wooden chew toys. Sometimes they do break but they will grow back. Sometimes rabbits don't or can't manage to keep their teeth in check on their own and have to be taken regularly to the vets to get them trimmed and occasionally the vet may resort to removing them completely if they are causing alot of problems.
