I have a loose baby tooth thats broken in half in my mouth..?

I'm almost 16..it's my last baby tooth, i know its wierd to have one at my age. I went to the dentist a week or two ago and they said that if it isn't out by christmas then they would pull it, so I've been wiggling it a lot. But then i was going to wiggle it and i realised it felt funny, and then looked in my mirror to confirm that my molar in infact split in half. what should i do? it doesn't hurt..but it is uncomfortable and hard to eat with, though its a holiday weekend and i'm out of town. should i go to a local dentist, or the ER? any opinions on what to do. also, I can't pull it out myself, i tried.

if you have a retained baby tooth at the age of 16, you may have missing premolars. it is usually seen in females than in males.





did you take an dental Xray?





since the tooth is fractured, you have to get it out. so that it would not trap food debris and avoid swallowing bits when you are sleeping.





go to a dentist will do. :)
Reply:Well, just pull it all the way out because i use to have that a lot when i was a kid and still do now. Don't worry it may hurt but the pain will be gone really quickly so just try to pull it out all the way.
Reply:I have had 2 of my baby teeth split it will be fine my dentist pulled it out the day after because i lost the half the day before the apointment it will fall out in a week or 2
Reply:Don't worry about it! It will not grow back in cracked. No dont go to the ER. The dentist will drill it down and probobly put a crown down.
Reply:if a baby tooth fractures before it' shed it is sometimes more difficult to get it to come out, keep wiggling it and if it's not out by xmas, have your dentist take it out for you, it will be easy, also, this really isn't worthy of a visit to the er
