I accidently dropped my 4 month old lower partial in the bathroom sink. It has two wires that latch on to two existing teeth, and broke at the point of one of the wires. It's essentialy being held together by the reline material.
Does anyone know roughly how much it will cost to fix?

Help ....Broken Lower Partial! How Much $$ To Fix It??
Ah J, your problem is a mirror image of exactly what happen to me, and my partial was only a few months old.
I ended going to my dentist [those over-the-counter denture repair kits give out in a few days!] and he sent my partial out to the denturist who made them on a Tuesday, and I had them back on Friday.
As for the cost, the denturist said there was a "weakness" at the point of the wire. He said there is a weakness on any partial when wires are used, so there was NO charge.
Good luck to you.
Reply:Sorry I can't help you out with this, except to tell you to call your dentist to find out. They may be under warranty still, if so it will be free. I know mine were the first time I broke them. Back when I was wearing mine all the time, I would use super glue to fix them after the warranty expired.
Now I don't wear them at all. I found out after it was too late that the partial will ruin the existing teeth that they are connected to. You will over the next few years be getting them fixed all the time. I am loosing those 2 teeth in a few days, all because the wire on the partial wore them out. The dentist will even tell you this as well. Mine was the lower as well. Good luck with your partial.
Reply:If the wires broke, you probably have a cast metal frame. If they broke off the cast metal frame, it would be very expensive to cast new parts and weld them to the existing frame. I mean, like maybe $250-300 or so. You might be able to have them replaced with "wrought wire" clasps for a lot less money. They wouldn't work the way the partial was first designed, but they'd work. This would cost around $100, maybe.
As far as a warranty, if you dropped it in the sink, forget about it. Collision damage to your car is not covered under warranty. (I know YOU didn't say this, but maybe other answers will read my comments.)
Reply:if you have the piece of wire they can be welded back on!
the lab fee for this would be about 50 dollars not sure about the mark up from the dentist if any
